There’s a wobbly tower on the lounge room floor and one very determined little engineer who refuses to give up. That’s STEM play at its best. The right STEM toys for kids turn that curiosity into hands-on learning, with no screen in sight.

Here are five picks from Andy’s Toybox to keep your little builder and problem-solver busy. Everything is hands-on, easy to pick up and built to hold curious minds for a good while.

Why Hands-On Play Is Worth It
Building and puzzle toys quietly teach kids to be patient, try a different way and keep going when something doesn’t work the first time.
Those are skills they’ll use long after the toys are packed away, and the best part is that they’ll think they’re just playing.
How to Choose the Right One
Picking the best STEM toys for kids is easier when you think about what your child loves most. Into tools? Try the engineer set. Love stacking? Grab the blocks. Happiest with a puzzle? The egg sorter or play board is your answer.
